Training Methodology

Beginner Level

For the new candidates with no Welding knowledge and no qualification (SMAW)
 As per the AWS standard 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F training is given at the start.
 On the candidates eligible to weld as mentioned in point 1 , next will be the 1G flat position, 2G horizontal position in plate , 3G vertical position & 4G overhead position welding training.

Intermediate Level

For the candidates with 4G welding knowledge (SMAW)
 We upgrade those candidates with 2G pipe horizontal position, 5G flat position, and 6G unequal positions.
 Candidates eligible to weld SMAW upto 6G, they get upgraded to TIG & ARC welding.
 Candidates eligible to weld SMAW upto 4G position , they get upgraded to MIG welding up to 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F, 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G.

Advanced Level

For the candidates who know some welding positions they will be upgraded to the next higher welding position.
 Candidates with 3G SMAW welding knowledge will be upgraded to 4G SMAW welding.
 Candidates with 3G SMAW welding knowledge can also be upgraded to 3G GMAW.
 Candidates with 6G SMAW welding knowledge will be upgraded to 2G GTAW / 5G GTAW / 6G GTAW as per the candidates’ requirements.

• POWER: Transformer welding 300A & 400 A

Tools

• GAS CUTTING TOOLS: Cutting torch with hose and regulator LPG & CO2, Bucketing machine and Bowel cutting machine.
• FITTING TOOLS: Measuring tapes, Steel rules, Try Square, Sprit Level, Hammers, Dot Punch, Divider, Makers etc.

Training Methodology

Beginner Level

For the new candidates with Mathematical knowledge – pipe / steel fitting training method:
 The candidates will be trained first about the safety rules & regulations to be followed in workplace, cold works, hot works.
 Then they will be taught about the ANSI standard of using fitting tools, various materials usage, pipe and plate sizes.
 Then they will be taught on the usage of pipelines in various processes.
 Then practically they will be given class on marking, hand movement of the cutting torch followed by the cutting practice of the plate and then the cutting of the pipe.
 Then will be the fabrication of the pipe as per isometric drawing. Finally ending up with the fabrication of the necessary fittings.
 After repeated tests on marking, cutting, grinding, fittings and fabrication as per the isometric drawing will be given.

Advanced Level

For the candidates with Gas Cutting knowledge only:
 First the candidates will be tested on their cutting knowledge. If failed the training methodology will be given as per the new candidates with mathematical knowledge training method.
 On successfully tested they will be upgraded with the methods of fabrication as per the isometric drawing and necessary of fittings.

Training Methodology

 Basics of electricity.
 Concepts of AC & DC current mean.
 Earthing, its uses, types and how to measure them.
 What is phase & neutral. How to know them & measure the voltage available by using volt meter.
 What current means and to measure its units using amp meter.
 What are isolators, conductors, resistors, how & where to use them.
 Identifying the wiring accessories as per the symbols. Make them simple twist joints, repair TW board for fixing flush type accessories.
 Various types of wiring, single phase & three phase.
 What LT & HT wiring mean.
 Single way wiring, two way, parallel & serial wiring.
 Cabling, cable glanding, cable termination using latest hand tools.
 Ways of cable laying, both underground & using cable trays.
 Various sizes of cable & wires, colour coding usages.
 Practical training on how to install distribution boards, bus bars single & multiple, where & how they are used.

Safety Classes

 How to prevent electrical shocks.
 First aid – how to rescue a person & attend to him in case of electrical shock.

• SCAFFOLDING MATERIALS: 1.5, 2, 3, 4, and 6 meter pipes; 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3 meter planks, Base plates, Fixed, Swivel, Bone joint, and G couplers.
• SCAFFOLDING PPE: Safety Helmet, Safety Ear Plug, Safety Dust Mask, Safety Goggles, Safety Overall, Safety Hand Gloves, Safety Body Harnesse, Safety Shoe etc.

Training Methodology

 First screening on the candidates – physical tests will be taken.
 The selected candidates will be taught first on the usage of the PPE.
 Knowledge on how to use the measuring tape will be given.
 Material and tools names will be explained.
 Lacing of wires, fixing of planges on pipe and planges will be taught.
 Then practically will start on the various methods of scaffolding as below.
 Independent Scaffolding.
 Tower Scaffolding.
 Cantilevered Scaffolding.
 Mobile Scaffolding.
 Cargo Hold Scaffolding.
 Birdcage Scaffolding

• USAGE OF EQUIPMENTS: Blasting safety helmet with fine air, Light signal, Blasting hand gloves, Blasting leather overall, safety helmet, safety shoe, ear plug, dust mask / respirator, fire flame proof light, air filter mask.

Training Methodology

 First screening on the candidates – physically will be taken
 The selected candidates will be taught first on the usage of the PPE.
 Theory on painting & blasting equipments & tools will be given.
 Safety measures and concern for health & hygiene to be understood in painting & blasting area.
 Practical explanation on the function of the air compressor, blasting hopper, and operating of spray gun.
 Training the candidates to make them familiar with various types and conditions of blasting & painting , prepare base surfacing for good painting work.
